This Cookie Policy describes the Morabeza Services website as built today: locale cookie, consent cookie, optional Google reCAPTCHA and Calendly (Functional), and optional Vercel Web Analytics (Analytics, off until you opt in). We do not use advertising pixels such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. The site is operated by Ailton Moreira, trading as Morabeza Services. A counsel review is recommended before heavy paid acquisition.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website or embedded service. They often include a name, a value, and an expiry.
Local storage / session storage are browser storage areas that scripts can use for similar purposes (preferences, session state). Third parties such as Google reCAPTCHA or Calendly may use storage in addition to cookies; we do not control those mechanisms.
Cookies may be:
- First-party — set by Morabeza on our domain;
- Third-party — set by another company when their script or iframe loads (Google, Calendly).
2. Who sets cookies on this site

Google may set cookies when the reCAPTCHA v3 script runs on the contact flow (after Functional consent).
Calendly may set cookies when the scheduling embed loads on the booking step (after Functional consent).
Resend sends email from our servers and does not set browser cookies on this site.
Vercel hosts the site. When you accept the Analytics category, we also load Vercel Web Analytics (first-party via our host) to measure aggregated page views and usage. It does not load until you opt in. Ordinary hosting and CDN delivery may still produce server logs as described in the Privacy Policy.
Theme preference (light / dark / system) is stored in
localStorage under morabeza-theme. It
is not a cookie and is not gated by Functional or Analytics consent.
3. Consent categories we use
Our on-site banner uses two categories that match what the app actually loads:

Necessary — always on. Required for the bilingual
site and to remember your cookie choice. Includes
NEXT_LOCALEandmorabeza_cookie_consent. - Functional — optional until you accept. Enables Google reCAPTCHA (spam protection on contact submit) and the Calendly booking embed.
- Analytics — optional until you accept. Enables Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated page views and usage. Default is off. Accept all turns it on; Reject optional / necessary-only keeps it off.
Preferences: Language preference is stored in
NEXT_LOCALE and treated as
Necessary so the site can render English or
Portuguese consistently. Theme preference uses localStorage
(morabeza-theme), not a cookie.
Marketing: We do not set advertising cookies or marketing pixels (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar).
4. Cookie inventory
Durations for third-party cookies are best-effort; Google and Calendly control their own names, purposes, and lifetimes. Check their policies for the authoritative list.

5. Your consent choice
On first visit (or after we raise the consent version), a banner asks you to:
- Accept all — Necessary + Functional + Analytics;
- Reject optional — Necessary only (Functional and Analytics off);
- Save preferences — choose Functional and Analytics independently.
Until you choose, we treat Functional and Analytics as off: we do not load Calendly, reCAPTCHA, or Vercel Web Analytics. Necessary cookies may already be set so the site works in your language.
6. How features are gated
6.1 Google reCAPTCHA (Functional)
We classify reCAPTCHA as Functional because it loads a third-party Google script that may set cookies. When Functional consent is granted and reCAPTCHA keys are configured, the contact form loads that script and sends a token with book or message submissions to reduce spam.
If you reject Functional cookies while reCAPTCHA is required in production, you can still browse the site and fill the form, but submitting (book or message-only) will ask you to enable Functional cookies first. Message-only does not load Calendly.
6.2 Calendly (Functional)
The Calendly embed and its script load only after Functional consent, on the booking step. Without Functional consent you can still use message-only (subject to reCAPTCHA consent above) or enable Functional cookies to book inline.
6.3 Vercel Web Analytics (Analytics)
When Analytics consent is granted, we load Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated traffic (for example page views). It is first-party via our Vercel host, is not an advertising pixel, and stays off if you reject optional cookies or leave Analytics unchecked.
7. How to manage or withdraw consent
- Use Cookie settings in the site footer to reopen the banner and change Functional and Analytics choices.
- Choosing Reject optional (or turning Functional / Analytics off and saving) stops new loads of Calendly, reCAPTCHA, and Vercel Web Analytics. Cookies already set by Google or Calendly may remain until you clear them in the browser or via those providers.

Deleting
morabeza_cookie_consentwill cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.
8. Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may break language persistence or consent memory. For third-party cookies, also review:
- Google Privacy Policy / reCAPTCHA terms;
- Calendly Privacy Policy.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy at /cookies.html (Portuguese: /cookies.pt.html) and change the “Last updated” date. If we add new non-essential tools, we will update the inventory, bump the consent version so the banner can re-prompt, and revise this page.
